Chanel's Metier d'Arts Show in Paris

Lagerfeld presents Chanel's Spring 2011 collection in a chillin' room - transforming the second -floor of Rue Cambon store - couture salon into a chilled out fashion show. The venue walls was entirely embroidered in tiny bronze sequins and the room was filled with low stained glass tables with two rows of pattern square pillows where he seated his 136 fashion audience seeming very low-key.

The season's theme was Paris-Byzance, inspired by the Empress Theodora and the lost culture of Byzantium – the 5th century with 60’s London – the collection included swingy navy peacoats trimmed with exquisite small jeweled buttons, squared-heeled boots, black leather gloves, quilted handbags encrusted with big glittery stones, filigree headbands, multicoloured knits with gold thread, embroidered fringe, with chunky gold knitted right in. The evening wear was filled with heavy jewel-tone satin with even heavier swaths of mosaic embroidery.

I must say Lagerfeld always takes his creativity to another level. You just have to love him for his creativity and designs. I’m always looking forward to seeing what’s next when it comes to the Chanel collections and fashion shows.

Audi Canada Presents: The Art of Progression

BACKSTAGE PASS FROM ME TO YOU!

CLICK ON THE IMAGE ABOVE TO SEE SOME BACKSTAGE IMAGES.

Audi Presents: The Art of Progression

Art In The Cold? That is what I call this fabulous show, held at the historic Evergreen Brick Works presented by Audi.

My self and many others got the awesome opportunity to work backstage, assisting the models to get dressed to show off the beautiful collections on stage. Three designers: Joeffer Caoc, Dimitri Chris and Nada showed off there SS2011 collections. Joeffer, which was one of the first to send his models in his collection down the runway in acid tribal prints, sequine tanks, gold cuffed shorts, striped pieces, and fitting maxi dresses. Then Dimitri Chris which was second with his collection sending the males down the runway in tailored shorts striped suits, and capelets, and last but not least the beauty Nada . They each opened their show with a white Audi. Now that is a way to show off a SS2011 collection.

Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to see how the show came to life on the runway because I was too busy in the back getting my assigned model dressed. Eventually my work was done - I had some leisure time to have a drink and mingle with my colleagues. Finally, deciding to end my long night after leaving straight from school and heading straight to the show. Sitting in the lounge room for almost 2 hours stuffing my face with some yummy pasta, salads and pizza with red bull to drink; which I must add did not give me no sort of energy, and working backstage. Which was fantastic, but wild, working on crunch time and already short of backstage dressers you can only imagine how frustrated Lauren Chisholm was at the beginning. To end it all it was amazing, I got a rush being backstage seeing everything go on in front of my very two eyes and being apart of such art, meeting such great people, I ate, and I got some alcohol in my system. Like really, what’s more better than that!

The following day, really wanting to see how the runway looked – I jumped online, YouTube to be exact, knowing that it would be on there and there is where I got to watch the FABOLOUS show - I have to say the Audi car driving down the runway was outstanding and Nada, and Joeffer female collection was just “FABOLOUS!”

Biker Beyonce - Dereon F/W2010-11

Hey my FFA’s
So I came across Beyonce looking might fine and fierce in her  FW2010/11 campaign for Dereon posing on a motorbike which was photographed by Tony Duran and styled by her mother Tina Knowles. The collection included studded leggings, lace biker shorts, sharp-shouldered minidress and high-waisted pants, and for the accessories she wore oversized jewellery and spiky ankle boots

With her killer 1960s pin-up girl, biker-chic look Beyonce brings out the Sasha Fierce. Rocking some heavy-duty tattoos, a platinum blond wig and Smokey eyes she is sure looking like a true bad ass!

so you must be wondering if Beyonce tattoos  are real. Well just to let you know they are! Haha, just kiddin’ , its only temporary people.

The body art was specially crafted for the shoot by airbrush makeup brand Temptu. Tina Knowles was so pleased by the outcome of the art work that she decided to make the transfers available to all. Dereons limited edition designs will be launched Nov.1st at Sephora stores. The temporary body art will last for 2 – 5 days, at the cost of $18. So if you have some tattoo urges want that badgirl – chic look but don’t want it on forever. Then get your self the Dereon Temporary Tattoo Kit.

VMAs 2010

Oh my FFAs, I know it’s been a while since I updated you guys with some "FABOLOUS" Fashion. It’s was a crazy week for me last week. After my one-day vacation to Fashion Night Out, it was all books for me after that.

But enough of that, let’s talk about what I missed last week. So we all know that September 12th was the Video Music Awards. Sitting here watching it, it has me amazed with the creativity that some of these celebs came out with. Filled with so much creativity, so many celebs; from Cici, to Gaga, Usher, Justin B, Nicki, Drake just to name a few. Talk about a party! That sure had me on my toes. Anyways, so we all know what I’m going to be talking about. If you do not know, then here let me help you, “FABOLOUS FASHION” of course!

The most talked about celebrity of the night?
The one, and only, Lady Gaga! So, she appeared first in a lovely Alexander McQueen gown, which was to die for and we can’t forget her killer Alexander McQueen heels. Literally! Then she came out with a FABOLOUS meat dress, something that I so did not expect. Made by: Franc Fernandez. From her purse, to her shoes, to the hat looking thing slopped on her head. I will say no more, only Lady Gaga can do something like this and get away with it.

Lets take a look at some of the images of this crazy party.

I Just have to leave you guys with my fav song for the night. Far East Movement - Fly Like A G6. Wish it was a video but I don't think there is one and if there is then I just can't find it.
