Kendra Francis Is Miss Independent

To my dear fellow friends who have been following me on my venture I apologize for not being consistent for the past week or so updating you people with the fashion world. My apologies! I had a few special events occurring; like the celebration of my sons first birthday and a family reunion. (Must I say it was wonderful!) Oh yeah, I also had to get myself a new laptop. Well that is enough of that. Let us get to the juicy stuff.

So while I was browsing the internet this afternoon, doing the usual checking my emails and following up on latest trends; I came across an email about Toronto’s own Fashion Designer Kendra Francis, and what is more better writing about our own.

Kendra Francis, standing at a 5’11”, with a gypsy spirit, and her flawless beauty was one of the finalists on Project Runway Canada in 2008. She grew up in a European neighbourhood in Malton. Born in a family of tailors and seamstresses, Kendra was bound to have such talent. Making her first dress at a young age of 13, she continued her passion for fashion. Travelling to New York, she tried modeling but it just was not something she loved of course after that experience she made her way to Europe, and after that journey, she came back to her hometown Toronto to study fashion at Ryerson University. After her 4 years, she finally launched her luxury apparel fashion label, FRANKE, in 2001 and she opened her own boutique. Also works as a stylist photo shoots, commercials and music videos. (Talk about a go-getter!)

Kendra’s designs focuses on the balance of fluidity. With her clean lines and refines silhouettes; with a philosophy based in a belief that “Fashion should enhance one’s personality”, not detract from it. Exploring and expanding her style from less material and more skin, to elegant, to chic; inspired by just about everything, and everywhere around her. This stunning, super stylish female is one of Toronto’s hottest and respected designers and as she represents our own Toronto with her great talent, she is also representing for the smart, talented, beautiful, independent ladies around the GTA, and I have to say - I am proud to say she is one of our own, and she is a true woman! Kendra Is Miss Independent!
