Jungle Fever

So as usual, I’m always trying to think about what topic I should write about. Sometimes I even dream about it. I know such a geek right. Anyways, so I thought it would only be right if I spoke on the one of the many trends that I continue to see everywhere. Being Downtown Toronto on the regular in the Eaton Centre shopping - all I see is this trend - every store I step into from H&M, to Aldo, to Guess, Marciano. Any store you can think of in Eaton Centre this trend is in there; even in the DAMN luggage store and in the lil' booths that sell the covers for cell phones. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am in a DAMN jungle. Can you guess what trend I’m talking about? If you said the Animal Print, Yep, indeed you are right. Look at this sexy Christian Dior animal print cocktail dress on the runway. (To die For Right!) Even last night when I was watching the Monique Show on BET she was even rocking the Animal Print Trend. She was wearing a Leopard/Zebra dress. It was real cute. Actually, I had been noticing that mix lately. I think it's HOT! So, yeah this Animal Print Trend is one of the summers hottest. Most definitely! So go out to the mall and get you at least one animal print if you do not have one.

Now enjoy watching Rihanna in her "Rude Boy" video WORKING the animal prints.

Is Barbie The Look This Year?

Every Girl Wants To Be Barbie!

Ok, so right now in Toronto looking like a Barbie is the biggest trend. For the past few months I been noticing on Facebook our young ladies are trying to conquer the Barbie look. Actually from what I can recall from since 2009 this trend has been going on. Why is that? Hmmmm.....Well it's not so hard to figure out. Need some help? Let me give you a name. NICKI MINAJ! Yep! NICKI MINAJ; with her quote: "It's Barbie Bitch!" This female American rap star has sure taken over the female rap game and not only that but the loyalty and the respect of females all around the world, especially in Toronto. With her sexual, colourful, daring, sexy image which is inspired by the Harajuku Fashion. Nicki Minaj has made an impact in Toronto girls; not only to embrace sexiness but to feel comfortable to be daring, to have fun with being a female, and to use more colours in your everyday wear, be daring, be BARBIE! Nicki Minaj sure is a FASHIONISTA and so are WE!

Now that we are finished our Barbie talk. You know I love to leave you guys with a video. So here is Nicki Mianj featured in "5 Star Chick" looking like a true Barbie.

Sailor Girl!

So it’s back again the summertime favourite, most of all, my personal favourite the Nautical inspired look. You may have seen many celebs rock this trendy look, from “Rock star” Rihanna, to “California Girl” Katy Perry but no one rocks this trend better than the one and only Christina Aguilera. From red, blue and white, to stripes, to anchors, sailor hats and sailor knots. You can’t help but to love this classical look. Having you feeling like you’re a true Sailor Girl!

Feature Artist: Drake "Thank Him Later"

Drake, who is Drake?

“Drizzy Drake” also known as Aubrey Drake Graham is a Canadian recording artist and actor straight out of Toronto, Ontario. You may have first seen this handsome gentleman playing character Jimmy Brooks on the television series Dagrassi: The Next Generation. Signed with Young Money Entertainment, this humble, sweet triple threat rapper, singer, songwriter and actor released his first album, Thank Me Later June 15, 2010. (A little bit off topic but his album was released after my birthday; which I found to be a great belated birthday present to myself I must say). “Thank Me Later” sold 447,000 copies and debuts at NO. 1 on the Billboard 200. Winning several awards this year, this 23 year-old Torontonian is on this rise, sky is the limit for him. With tracks like “Over” to “Find You Love” he is sure heating up the summer this year. HIS FASHION STYLE: A laid back urban sense of fashion. It’s been a great year for “Drizzy Drake” and not only that - I must add I am proud of him. Not only is he representing for his city, our own TORONTO but he’s making such an impact and achieving so much. The sky is the limit and his success continues.....
